The company would like to recruit a Buyer to be based at Canyon Coal’s Head Office in Sandton.
DESCRIPTION
Ensure that all procurement queries/requests from internal and external parties are responded to in a systematic approach.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12
Must have a Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Diploma or BCom Procurement Degree
Good communication skills
Negotiation skills and people skills
EXPERIENCE:
At least 4 years relevant experience
Experience in mining environment is an added advantage
OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Medically fit
No criminal record
Computer literacy
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure sourcing of product and services at the lowest TCO from compliant suppliers on time
Ensure that the specification provided by the requester is clear and understandable if it is not clear get more information from the requester.
Prepare and send documents required for sourcing from suppliers.
Respond to enquiries from stakeholders regarding requisition and purchase orders.
Expediting of Purchase order
Respond to all procurement queries or requests from potential suppliers and internal clients.
Ensure completion of tasks in line with agreed timelines
Ensure that procurement on site is aligned with Group Procurement Processes and procedures
