The company would like to recruit an Electrician to be based at Khanye Colliery in Bronkhorstspruit.

DESCRIPTION 

The purpose of this role is to ensure that repairs, legal inspections and maintenance of plant and other equipment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12

• Electrician Trade Test

• Computer literate

• Valid driver’s license

• Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

• Understanding of Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA)

• Physically fit and able to pass a medical/fitness test

• Medium voltage training

EXPERIENCE

• 3 years experience in the mining industry

• Medium voltage switching

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Electrical legal inspections

• MCC maintenance

• E/L testing

• General Electrical maintenance

• Light circuit’s fault finding

• Panel wiring

• Panel fault finding

• Conveyor maintenance

• Generator fault finding

• Transformer maintenance

• 11 KV switching

• Lighting plant maintenance

• Pollution control dam pump station maintenance

• River pump station maintenance

• Farm dam submersible pump maintenance

• Bronkhorstspruit Siding electrical infostructure maintenance

• Monthly and quarterly tagging of electrical equipment
