The Company would like to recruit an Electrician based at Gugulethu Colliery located within the Msukaligwa Local Municipality.

Description

The purpose of this role is to ensure that Electrical repairs, legal inspections and maintenance of plant and other equipment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Electrical Trade

• N4 Certificate

• PLC experience

• Medium- voltage training

• Computer literate

• Valid driver’s license (08)

Other Skills and Competencies

• Good knowledge of Transformers and Generators

• Understanding of Mine Health and Safety Act

• Physically fit and able to pass a medical/fitness test.

• Ability to work independently and in a team as well as under pressure

• Willing to work under pressure and to work overtime.

• Own Tools and own transport

Experience

• 3 years ‘experience in the Mining industry

• Medium Voltage switching

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Electrical legal inspections

• MCC maintenance

• E/L testing

• General Electrical maintenance

• Light circuit’s fault finding

• Panel wiring

• Panel fault finding

• Conveyor maintenance

• Generator fault finding

• Transformer maintenance

• 11 KV switching.

• Read Diagrams

• Install and maintain wiring
