Vacancy: Human Resources Superintendent X1

The company would like to recruit an Human Resources Superintendent to be based at Khanye Colliery in Bronkhorstspruit.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/Degree in Labour Relations/Labour Law or Human Resources  

  • Computer Literate  

  • Valid SA Driver’s License    

EXPERIENCE

  • 4-6 years’ experience in a similar position in the mining industry.  

  • In-depth knowledge of LRA, BCEA, EE, CCMA, and wage negotiations  

  • Legal background and multilingual will be an advantage (especially isiZulu)  

  • Accuracy and attention to details 

  • Independent thinker and solutions-driven  

  • Pro-active, assertive, deadline-driven and the ability to function in a stressful environment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategise, advise, provide guidance, facilitate and responsible for matters relating to HR/IR.

  • Coordinate and facilitate disciplinary and grievance hearings.

  • Ensure that grievances and disciplinary hearing are held in terms of the company policy & keep up to date records of all disciplinary hearing and grievance records.

  • Maintain and prepare daily/weekly and monthly reports.

  • Provide training and information to Line managers and employees on all IR and /or labour related matters.

  • Attend to day-to-day HR Matters.

  • Ensure compliance with EE/WSP / DMR related matters.

  • Ensure that HR/IR related company policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with current legislation and case law.

  • Monitor all internal labour-related trends and submit relevant reports to the business.

  • Facilitate regular meetings between management and organised labour and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Liaise with medical aid/provident fund service providers & manage all HR department subordinates.

  • Build and maintain professional union relationships.
