Vacancy: Payroll Administrator
The company would like to recruit a Payroll Administrator to be based at the Canyon Coal Head Office in Sandton
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Grade 12
Diploma in Payroll Administration
SAGE People 300 Part 1 and Part 2
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
SAGE ESS (Web self-service)
Xtime (time and attendance an advantage, or very good knowledge of time and attendance systems)
Gensys Firefly will be advantages
OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure, Self-motivated
Absolutely NO previous criminal record
Must be medically fit.
Driver’s licence will be required
EXPERIENCE
HR, Finance and / or administrative experience is essential
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Full payroll function - approximately 600 staff members
Take full responsibility of the efficient running of the payroll office, filing, maintaining personnel files and assisting with accounting functions.
Reconcile PAYE and produce IRP5 certificates on an annual basis
Management of benefits statements and ensuring that schedules reconcile with benefits statements and payroll schedules.
Dealing and reconciling medical aids.
Ensure that all employee policies are adhered to and that all legislative requirements are met.
Processing of payroll amounts monthly i.e. Overtime, All allowances
Ensure that staff leave is maintained and processed on ESS
Review and calculate time sheets data and hours worked on Xtime and information received from work areas. Checking absentees and Overtime.
Preparation of payslips and any requirements around payroll.
Preparation of salary, bonus and increase schedules.
Onboarding and exiting employees from system.
Effectively gather and prepare remuneration information for processing.
Balancing of Monthly payroll and closing off
Run reports monthly
Import/Export files
Completing and releasing of UI19’s and UIF electronic declarations
Handling and assisting with daily Payroll queries
Retirements, retrenchments, and the application of tax directives from SARS where applicable
Checking of other payrolls
Preparing periodical reports for COID and RMA
Preparing third party payment files
