Vacancy: Canyon Coal - Social and Labour Plan Co-ordinator
The Company would like to recruit a Social and Labour Plan Co-ordinator for Canyon Coal.
DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with DMRE legislative and manage relationships between the company, local community, local municipalities, government departments. Ensure implementation of the Social and Labour Plan and manage the commitments.

Good communication skills, particularly in English, with business writing skills
Stakeholder relationship management
Conflict Management
Understanding of Socio-Economic dynamics and complexities
Knowledge of the mining industry
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage compliance to all Mining Charter and Social and Labour Plan commitments
Ensure that the Social and Labour Plan commitments are documented and implemented
Implementation of approved strategies and plans with regards to community initiatives
Co-ordinate and facilitate DMRE interaction, i.e. site inspections, etc
Identify, select, and prioritise local community projects by ensuring alignment with SLP requirements
Ensure communication is cascaded effectively to all the relevant stakeholders
Project management and oversight of the LED projects
Compiling annual DMRE statutory reports (Mining Charter & SLP)
Build and maintain excellent and highly efficient working relations with government departments, local municipalities, other agencies and key community leaders and group of influence
Mediate and resolve conflict within the different stakeholders
Working closely with various responsible managers and personnel responsible for compliance
Must be willing to travel
