The Company would like to recruit a Diesel Mechanic for Canyon Coal, based at Khanye Colliery in Bronkhorstspruit. 

DESCRIPTION: 

 The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance on mobile machines, mobile cranes, trucks, and LDV’s to name a few.

  EXPERIENCE  

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the Mining industry, in the same role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Do fault finding, repairs and maintenance on mobile machines, mobile cranes, trucks and LDV’s

• Service vehicles, machinery at regular intervals according to a specific standard

• Perform standby duties and attend to breakdown maintenance on sites

• Test drive vehicles in order to do a technical evaluation

• Prepare vehicles for roadworthy tests

• Complete job cards and check sheets per vehicle as required

• Comply with Mine Health and Safety Act as well as Company safety and environmental policies during execution of duties
