The company is seeking to employ a qualified Health & Safety Officer for Khanye Colliery. 

Requirements: 

• Work as part of a team 

• Attention to Detail and follow through 

• Communicate effectively at all levels 

• Ensure accurate administration of safety, health and environment procedures, rules and regulations 

• Ensure site compliance to all OSHACT/SHE legal obligations, policies and practices 

• Ensure all safety, health and environment audits are carried out in line with statutory requirements 

• Ensure required induction and safety training of all site personnel take place 

• Ensure all accident and incident investigations are carried out in line with statutory requirements 

• Knowledge of SHE initiatives and programs which are consistent to legislated requirements relating to the mining industry 

• Computer literate  

• 4 years’ minimum experience 

• Valid driver’s license and own transport 

• SAMTRAC certification 

• COMSOC 

• Ability to monitor occupational health and safety standards 

• Risk Assessment 

• Attend to all OHS requirements to all parties on site including the appropriate PPE 

• Keeping the SHE files updated
