The Company would like to recruit a Blaster to oversee all blasting requirements for an open cast coal mine. 

 Key Performance Areas 

•  Assist the Mine Manager in performing daily blasting duties. 

Education and Experience 

• Grade 12 Certificate 

• Blasting ticket for opencast mining or Rock breaking certificate 

• Self-motivated and assertive 

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience 

• Marking of the blast Holes (Staking) 

• Calculating of correct explosive quantities and Ordering of explosives 

• Charging of Blast holes 

• Tie up of Blasts Holes 

• Cleaning of blasting Area for blasting and place Guards in entrances to blast area 

• Hands on with the pre and post blasting admin 

• Inspections of blasted areas
