The Company would like to recruit a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR for Canyon Coal, based at Phalanndwa Colliery, in Delmas. 

DESCRIPTION: 

The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure inspection, maintenance and servicing of buildings and the Colliery’s yard. 

EXPERIENCE  

• Minimum 2 years’ post article experience in the Mining industry is essential. 

OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: 

• Stock Management 

• Project Management 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Plan, organize and direct day-to-day maintenance activities 

• Interact with the General Manager: Mining and other departmental heads to provide the needed and expected level of service. 

• Provide leadership to the maintenance team/personnel. 

• Ensure the Maintenance team provides support of safety, quality and productivity goals of Colliery. 

• Arrange service providers and outside contractors where necessary, and monitor their outcomes and performance. 

• Complete various factory projects and installations to scope of work. 

• Order raw materials for jobs. 

• Assess the standard of all work completed. 

• Inspection of building and maintenance. 

• Ensures that all work in executed to the correct safety standards. 

• Supervises the work of the maintenance and cleaning team. 

• Reviews and monitors of jobs completed by the maintenance team, and reviews timesheets. 

• Preventative maintenance planning. 

• Controlling of Job Cards.
