Noxolo Mgcina, a rising star at Canyon Coal, is making waves in the mining industry with a dedicated effort to her work in the Logistics Department. With a Supply Chain Management qualification from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Damelin, she continually proves to be a force to be reckoned with. Noxolo shares insights into her journey and responsibilities at Canyon Coal. “My first occupation at Canyon Coal was as a logistics data capture which I enjoyed doing. However, through my hard work and dedication, I got promoted to be a logistics administrator,” she says.

She also sheds light on the challenges she faces in her role, emphasising the importance of managing fleet schedules to meet delivery deadlines and ensuring successful coal transportation to the end user. “What I find most exciting about my job is that it’s not a routine job, and I love working with numbers. It’s fascinating to solve new issues on a daily basis,” she states. Through her studies and experience, Noxolo has obtained a comprehensive understanding of logistics principles, supply chain dynamics, and strategic management practices. She looks forward to growing in her career.
