Gugulethu’s local contractor, Sibusiso Skhosana, born and raised in Witbank Farm near Davel, has transformed his company, SAS Farming, into a diverse enterprise that includes mobile toilet rentals. “The company started with a key focus on farming, but we saw opportunities to diversify into mobile toilets,” he explains. After bidding for a tender with Gugulethu, SAS Farming was awarded the contract and now services 19 mobile toilet units at various locations for the company.

“So far, our relationship with the mine is good. We are working well together,” he says. Working with Gugulethu has enhanced SAS Farming’s reputation, leading to further business opportunities. With the increasing demand for mobile toilets, Sibusiso plans to expand the business’s footprint to surrounding towns. Sibusiso believes being able to identify lucrative opportunities and investing in new business ventures is key to success. “It is about identifying opportunities and investing wisely. That’s how we’ve been able to grow and plan for even bigger things ahead,” he says.
