The company would like to recruit a Diesel Mechanic Assistant at Gugulethu Colliery, located within the Msukaligwa Municipality. 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum N2 Diesel Theory

  • Minimum 2- years’ experience on TMM’s

  • Diesel Mechanic Trade will be advantageous

  • Valid code 10 driver’s license

OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: 

  • Successfully complete medical evaluation

  • Absolutely NO previous criminal record

  • Solid understanding and adherence to safety and environmental standards 

  • Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as requested by the management

  • Knowledge of technical aspects of TMM

  • Must be physically fit and energetic

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

The duties will include but not limited to: 

  • Follow a checklist of inspection procedures

  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles 

  • Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts

  • Assist with breakdowns 

  • Adhere to safe working procedures
