Vacancy: Engineering Foreman
The company would like to recruit an Engineering Foreman to be based at Gugulethu Colliery within the Msukaligwa municipality.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12
Millwright/Electrical Engineering Trade
English proficiency
Valid driver’s license
Must have a strong electrical background in mining medium-voltage electrical reticulation network and systems
Must have a strong technical knowledge of earthmoving machinery
Medium Voltage certificate
Competent A (advantageous)
Other Skills/Competencies
Physically fit and able to pass a medical/fitness test
Must have a clear criminal record and be willing to undergo a criminal check
Sound communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate without supervision and be able to work under pressure
Be a self-starter and able to work according to targets/deadlines
Experience
Minimum of 4 years relevant supervisory experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in opencast mining as an Engineering Foreman
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure compliance within the mining electrical reticulation network and supporting electrical systems
Ensure optimal TMM utilisation & availability
Ensure compliance with safety and quality policies, procedures, and standards
Shift line-up and hand-over
Technical supervision
