The company would like to recruit an Pump Attendant to be based at Khanye Colliery in Bronkhorstspruit.
Skills & Qualifications
Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical science
Medical fit certificate
Driver’s licence
Other Skills/Competencies
Good communications skills
Able to perform manual work
Good manual dexterity with the ability to use tools and machinery
Mechanical aptitude
Experience
A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position in the mining industry
Duties & Responsibilities
Operates pumping equipment.
Inspects equipment to detect malfunctions, such as pump leaks or worn bearings.
Repairs and lubricates equipment, using hand tools.
Report any defects to artisan
Ensure that all protective devices are functioning correctly and are in good condition
Maintain a high level of good housekeeping in and around the pump area
To always ensure the safety of the equipment and personnel.
Communicate with all people involved in the execution of this function
Take any lawful and reasonable instructions from the supervisor or foreman
