Vacancy: Stores Controller X1

The company would like to recruit recruit a Stores Controller to be based at Khanye Colliery, in Bronkhorstspruit.

Skills & Qualifications  

  • Grade 12 or equivalent 

  • Must be computer literate, including inventory management software and MS Office 

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) 

  • Diploma/courses in Logistics/Supply Chain Management will be advantageous 

  • A trade qualification (e.g. Electrical/ Mechanical/ Millwright) would be advantageous 

Experience 

  • 5 years’ experience in the same or similar role, with a strong focus on inventory management and logistics. 

  • Experience in a mining environment is essential. 

Other Skills/Competencies

  • Familiarity with all stores-related systems, including ERP and inventory management software 

  • Proven ability to organize, lead, and supervise a team 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage stock levels, optimize inventory, and resolve issues 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders 

Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Manage the inbound and outbound processes, ensuring efficient and accurate stock handling. 

  • Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to all stock, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing waste. 

  • Ensure all orders are handled correctly and timeously 

  • Ensure adhering to all Health and Safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment in the stores area. 

  • Continuously liaise with all internal stakeholders to ensure they are satisfied with the services provided by the stores. 

  • Send daily reports to all relevant stakeholders, keeping them informed about stock levels, issues, and other key metrics. 

  • Ensure the correct documentation are processed, as well as ensure the accuracy of data recorded. 

  • Supervise and manage stores personnel, providing guidance and ensuring high performance. 

  • Must be aware of all safety related issues within the store’s environment, taking proactive measures to address them. 

  • Set high standards of performance for self and others assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks. 

  • Ensure all Store Requestions are captured correctly and signed off  

  • Manage Work orders and Manuel Orders on ERP System 

  • Ensure that Stock On hand corresponds with Stock on ERP System  

  • Issuing and Receiving are done correctly 

  • GRV Module is done and send to Financial Department daily
