Vacancy: Gugulethu Colliery- Stakeholder Relations Co-ordinator

The Company would like to recruit a Stakeholder Relations Co-ordinator at Gugulethu Colliery, 13km’s east of Hendrina (Mpumalanga). 

DESCRIPTION: 

The purpose of this role is to manage relationship between the company, local community, local municipalities, government departments, traditional leaders and other stakeholders. 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum of three years’ related working experience in a similar position within the Mining Industry. 

OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

  • Good communication skills, particularly in English, with business writing skills. 

  • Stakeholder relationship management 

  • Conflict Management 

  • Understanding of Socio-Economic dynamics and complexities 

  • Knowledge of the mining industry 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Implementation of approved strategies and plans with regards to community initiatives. 

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate DMRE interaction, i.e., site inspections, etc 

  • Identify, select, and prioritise local community projects by ensuring alignment with SLP requirements 

  • Coordinating community forum meetings. 

  • Ensure the commitments documented in the Social and Labour Plan are being executed. 

  • Ensure communication is cascaded effectively to relevant parties. 

  • Build and foster community engagement platform. 

  • Play an effective role within SLP project management teams. 

  • Mediate and resolve conflict within the different stakeholders. 

  • Identify, select, and prioritise local community projects by ensuring alignment with SLP requirements
