The Company would like to recruit an Inventory & Cost Controller for Phalanndwa Colliery in Delmas.

JOB DESCRIPTION - DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible to ensure the availability of parts/materials to the site by managing all control aspects of the inflow and outflow of critical spares and stock
Project manage improvement program and initiatives
Assist engineering in the planning of scheduled maintenance and maintenance of shutdowns
The general store layout, bin planning & identification
Maintaining stock categorization on the system to ensure efficient reporting.
Timely processing orders to replenish stock.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best prices and sound terms and conditions are met.
Reviewing supplier quotations with end-user and adjudicate the best combination of price and B-BEEE contribution
Process commercially sound purchase orders and expedite delivery as per agreed terms.
Resolve supplier queries and contribute to the successful closure of “the procure to pay” cycle.
Identify new potential and alternative suppliers in support of the company’s preferential procurement policy.
Quarantine all received goods until inspected and signed off by a technical representative
Return non-compliant products to suppliers.
Monitor and record deviations in order to report and manage supplier performance
Manage and report on inter-site/project transfers
Monitor and maintain correct stock levels to maximise inventory turnover
Ensure timely capture all transactions in order to ensure successful procure to pay cycle and integrity of information
Conduct regular spot checks on fast-moving or high risk items
Monthly Stock Take, reconciliation and discrepancy investigation
Review stores procedures regularly in order to implement improvements and ensure high service delivery levels
Maintaining of information required for daily/weekly or monthly reporting.
Monitor and keep up to date information pertaining to supplier performance.
Housekeeping and Health & Safety compliance.
Uphold procedures and policies in support of ethical business conduct.
Participate in and contribute to the improvement efforts and objectives of the department/company.
Conduct oneself in such a manner as to maintain trust and confidence in the integrity of the acquisition process.
Maintain effective working relations as a team member.
Lead a staff complement of 6 people reporting into this position
Positions report directly to the Group Procurement Manager.
