Vacancy: X1 Junior Engineering Planner
The company would like to recruit a Junior Engineering Planner to be based at Gugulethu Colliery located within the Msukaligwa Municipality.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12
Engineering qualification
Advance Microsoft Office Training word, Excel, Power point, MS Projects
Computer literacy
Planned maintenance and scheduling (advantageous)
Reliability Engineering certificate (advantageous)
OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure
Analytical thinking
Self-motivated
Must understand the importance of working safely
Absolutely NO previous criminal record
Adhere to inherent job requirements
Must be medically fit
EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years’ experience in the same position
Mining environment experience is essential
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be liaison principal contact and liaison person between maintenance, operations and other support departments
Manage the CMM system
Maintenance scheduling, generate requests for new functional objects, Revise and creating of new task list.
Revise and creating of new Separate PM Actions, Review credibility of data in CMM system.
Generate planned job cards, Asset care plans, capture feedback on the system & Generate reports.
Manage a filing system
Create /Design a filing system, ensure the quality of the filing execution & Unsure safekeeping of documentation.
Relationship expectations
Operations
Reduce cost of maintenance while improving service.
Minimize downtime and interruptions to operate, provide orderly procedures for processing work.
Provide expert maintenance advice to operations through maintenance planning.
Maintenance
Permit advanced determination of labour resources needed and time required to complete each job.
Provide an overall plan for the supervisor on which to base his /her pre-thinking and pre planning for day-to-day work.
Provide central source of information concerning maintenance work, equipment, and equipment repair.
Management
Permit accurate forecasting of labour and material needs.
Permit immediate recognition of labour shortages and excesses.
Provide factual data required for evaluation of performance and corrective action as needed.
Provide full productive work for each tradesperson (capacity planning) and thus increasing productivity through the elimination of delays.
Permit more accurate collection and analysis of cost and assure an economic level of maintenance with less interruption of production.
