“The bursary I received from Canyon Coal has helped me achieve my goal of studying towards a degree in mechanical engineering. I come from an under privileged family which couldn’t afford to send me to university and the debt that they would have incurred, had they chosen to take out a loan, would have been very burdensome on their finances. The bursary covered all aspects of my studies including accommodation, tuition, books, meal allowances and a stipend. I am very appreciative of all that Canyon Coal has done for me. I want to use the knowledge and skills that I have gained from university to make a difference in society through my career, by becoming a design engineer in years to come.”
