Vacancy: IT Technician X 2
The company would like to recruit two IT Technicians to be based at Canyon Coal head office in Sandton.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical degrees are a plus
Computer Literate
Valid SA Driver’s License
EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position in the mining industry
OTHER SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong technical background in computer hardware, software, and operating systems
Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting
Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support to customers and internal users via phone, email, or in person
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams or senior technicians as needed
Track and document customer interactions and issue resolution in a ticketing system
Install, configure, and update software and hardware components
Assist with system and software upgrades and migrations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and provide timely resolutions
Provide end-user training and support for software applications and systems
